Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamali has come down heavily on Chief Minister M K Stalin’s statement on Sanatana Dharma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a statement, Stalin said he supported his son’s remarks that Sanatana Dharma perpetuated caste hierarchy and oppression of women.
Exposing the chief minister’s claim, Annamalai argued that over the years DMK party had practiced and promoted some castes against the other. He said DMK leaders openly discriminated against members of scheduled caste communities. Even in the present council of ministers, Stalin has given not much representation to women and Dalits.
Annamalai then compared this with Narendra Modi’s council of ministers which has higher representation for women and scheduled castes. While Stalin has women leaders accommodated in unimportant portfolios, PM Modi has given key portfolios to them.
If something needs eradication from Tamil Nadu, it is the DMK.
