The controversial editor of a South Indian Left propaganda portal who had dismissed the despicable Udupi washroom video episode as a ‘prank’ by Muslim girls on Hindu students had earlier filed a sexual harassment complaint against a male journalist with the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) during her stint in a Malayalam channel.
Journalists in the know of the turn of events told Indus Scrolls that the alleged incident did not take place the way she had described in her complaint to the KUWJ. The Union acted against the male journalist after she allegedly threatened the organization that she would file a police complaint if it failed to act against the person.
According to a journalist who works with a Malayalam newspaper, the editor (then a reporter) had complained that she was ‘inappropriately touched’ by the male journalist. The incident allegedly happened when she gate-crashed when male journalists were having a booze party.
“She had no qualms in describing Udupi bathroom video episode as ‘an innocent prank’ by Muslim girls on Hindu victims. Why didn’t she ignore the incident happened with her as a prank? On the other hand, she blew it out of proportion. She often plays victim card also on this,” said the Malayalam mediaperson quoted above.
There are reports that the shot videos of Hindu girls were shared with Muslim youths who used to frequent the campus.
The portal had sponsored the secessionist Cutting South conclave.
