Putting a rather temporary stop to the concerns of people in Coorg, the Karnataka Forest Department has captured a tiger that attacked and killed two members of the same family in the area.
The tiger was caught in Kutta on the Kerala-Karnataka border at around 4 pm yesterday after forest officers shot a tranquillizer.
Following the incident of the tiger killing two members of the same family, the locals staged a protest demanding the capture of the tiger.
A team of 150 forest department members started the search for the tiger. The tiger which is 10 years old, will be taken to Koorgalli in Mysuru for an expert examination.
