As the Kerala high court on Sunday issued anticipatory bail to Dileep in the actress’ abuse case, supporters of the actress slammed the court’s verdict granting bail. However, the court came heavily saying that the critics do not understand court proceedings. The High Court observed that such criticisms were made by those who do not have a clear vision of the court proceedings.
In the bail order issued by Justice P Gopinath, the high court said that there was no clear evidence against Dileep. It also said that not presenting a phone does not amount to non-cooperation towards the probe.
The High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to six accused, including Dileep, in a case of conspiracy to assassinate probe officers of the 2017 sexual assault case. The court asked the accused to submit passports, present two sureties of Rs 1 lakh and cooperate with the investigation.
It also warned against influencing witnesses. The High Court said that if the accused violated the bail conditions, the prosecution could approach the court for arrest.
