In a surprising turn of events, celebrated film director Rajasenan has announced his departure from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and his decision to join the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM.
The acclaimed director held a discussion with CPM State Secretary MV Govindan at the AKG Center in Thiruvananthapuram, after which it was confirmed that he will officially join the party today.
Expressing his discontentment with the BJP, Rajasenan cited neglect and dissatisfaction as the main reasons behind his decision. He plans to hand over his resignation letter to the BJP leadership later today.
As a politician and an artist, Rajasenan believes that he received inadequate support and recognition from the BJP. In contrast, he sees the CPM as a more suitable party to work with, especially in the realm of arts and culture.
In addition to leaving the BJP, Rajasenan also announced his resignation from the BJP state committee membership.
