In a shocking incident, the investigating agencies have found that more than 10,000 calls were made to Jammu & Kashmir through the parallel telephone exchange in Kerala’s Kozhikode. The team investigating the case has also found that a number of calls were made to Pakistan too.
The details came out following an examination of calls made during a period of six months. Meanwhile, calls were also received from China. Even though it is hard to trace the location of calls, the probe team is hopeful of getting details of the persons contacted.
The investigation team found that around Rs 40 crores were received in the account of accused in the case from across the country. Earlier, the probe team arrested Niyas, a Malappuram native, and PP Shabeer, a Kozhikode native, in connection with the case. The case is currently being probed by Kozhikode City Police.
On July 1, 2021, Juraise from Kozhikode was arrested for running a parallel exchange. Soon, the team traced the role of Ibrahim Pullattil and the investigation further identified the role of Kozhikode residents Niyas and Shabeer in the case. Niyas and Shabeer are absconding.
