Kodungallur Anchangadi Movement of Islam Trust UP School has taken the decision to remove a logo containing religious symbols from its school uniform following widespread protests from Sangh Parivar organizations and local residents. The school management issued an apology and announced the withdrawal of the controversial logo, responding to concerns raised by parents and community members.
The logo, which incorporated religious symbols including a church and the Quran, was positioned on the shirt pocket of the school uniform. As parents became aware of the logo, they expressed their dissatisfaction and disapproval to the school administration. In response to the mounting protests, the school authorities issued a press release stating their intention to apologize for the matter and remove the logo from the uniform.
The logo, previously representing the Movement of Islam Trust, was used by the school until this recent controversy. However, in light of the objections raised by parents, the management decided to address the concerns by withdrawing the logo entirely. In an official statement, EA Rasheed Master, the Manager of the school, expressed his apologies for any inconvenience caused to the parents as a result of this issue. The Head Mistress, T.M. Afsabi, further acknowledged the concerns and assured that appropriate actions would be taken.
