Kerala Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Tuesday said that if the SilverLine project is implemented in the state then violence similar to Nandigram will be repeated here.
His remark came while inaugurating a rally organized by the Anti-K Rail SilverLine People’s Struggle Committee.
“Implementing similar projects has led to violence in Nandigram and Singur in West Bengal. Such a situation is transpiring here and this would eventually lead to the collapse of KSRTC and other public transport systems in the state,” he said.
He denounced the DPR of the project, termed it as a sham and alleged that neither the cabinet nor the officials could discuss or explain the project in assembly.
