On world tobacco day, Kerala’s communist CM has come up with a Facebook post in which he stood firmly against smoking.
In a Facebook post on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the CM said tobacco use poses a threat not only to human health but also to nature.
Vijayan also said that tobacco also results in deadly side effects and people should avoid using it.
Therefore, everyone should pledge to give up tobacco and build a healthy society, he said in his post.
Meanwhile, the post reminded a number of people the crucial role of Communist party in Kerala in popularising smoking beedi even in the rural areas of the state.
Beedi was synonymous with an average communist in the state whereas the centres where employees worked were the main centres for brainwashing uneducated men and women to the state to join the extremist movement of the communist party in the state.
