While the incident of a Kerala boy shouting slogans against Hindus in an SDPI march has become a shocker to the entire nation, yet another incident has surfaced, but that is from the neighbouring Karnataka where symptoms of Islamic radicalisation have been strong in the recent years. In the shocking incident, a Muslim boy was found shouting at a female music teacher who was teaching Bhajans.
The incident happened in Mysuru when a music teacher in a private school in the name of Saint Ramakrishna was teaching Bhajans. The Muslim student in class 8 suddenly changed his voice and started shouting at the music teacher asking her not to speak against his religion. His classmates who were also sure that nothing against Islam was spoken by the teacher were also shocked.
The teacher, however, stayed calm, and silently heard all that he had to say so as not to make the conversation an issue. The incident was also not reported to the authority or known outside as the teacher didn’t want to drag the school into controversy. It was the students who described the incident to their parents.
Similar kinds of incidents are common in Kerala, said a parent who was earlier a teacher in a northern Kerala school. The teachers are often threatened in such incidents, however, the incidents are not reported for the fear of life, reveals the teacher. Children, from a very young age, are being injected with religious venum from madrasas the same influences them throughout their life, says the teacher.
