While the world is all set to celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14th, the Animal Welfare Board of India has urged people to celebrate it by hugging a cow.
A circular from Animal Welfare Board says that the cow is the backbone of Indian culture and rural economy and ‘Cow Hug day’ should be observed.
The argument is that hugging cows makes you happy. This is stated in a circular issued by the Animal Welfare Board of India on Monday. It is going viral on social media.

The circular also says there is an overspreading of western culture in Indian society. The explanation given by the officials is that such a call was given to teach compassion toward animals.
