Hours after Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan refused to sign the policy address, the rift between CM and governor was resolved, said report.
Putting the government in a tight spot here on Thursday, the governor refused to sign the policy address and declared that he will sign the document only if the government quash the decision to grant pension to the personal staff of ministers.
As the governor took the stubborn stance a day before the policy address in the assembly, the issue has drawn a controversy in the state. It is for the first time, the state witnessed such an incident.
The issue was resolved after the government, yielding to the Governor’s pressure, replaced K R Jyothilal as principal secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) with a senior civil servant.
