In an incident that Kerala never witnessed before, governor Arif Mohammed Khan has refused to approve the policy address to be held tomorrow.
As per the report, the governor has put forward a condition that he will deliver the policy address only if the government evokes the order to grant pension for the minister’s personal staff.
It is customary that the policy should be delivered at the assembly during the budget session. However, the governor’s disagreement has led the govt to a situation that Kerala has never seen before.
As per reports, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the governor personally to get the approval, however, he refused to sign on the policy address.
Earlier, the governor expressed his protest against the government’s decision to give pension to the personal staff of ministers.
