The forgery case involving former SFI leader K. Vidya has taken a new twist as the police claim that Vidya is absconding, while students assert that Vidya is hiding within the premises of Kaladi University hostel.
Amidst mounting pressure, the police have announced plans to conduct a search at Vidya’s house in Thrikaripur today and record statements from family members. Additionally, a statement will be obtained from the Principal of Karinthalam Government College, where Vidya is alleged to have used a fake document for employment. The Caladi University sub-committee will also commence its investigation into the PhD controversy today.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM has distanced itself from Vidya, stating that they deny any association with the incident. In a recent Secretariat meeting, it was decided not to extend political support to Vidya. However, it is worth noting that the meeting also took a different stance by supporting SFI state secretary PM Arsho in a result controversy.
The Secretariat justified its decision by claiming that the explanation provided by Arsho regarding the issue was satisfactory and expressed concerns about attempts to destabilize the SFI.
