As the recent revelations in the book by senior IAS officer M Sivasankar continue to stir Kerala politics, Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, on Saturday said that she was “already a victim”. She slammed the IAS officer for allegedly mentioning her name in his new book.
“I was shocked by the content of the book,”, she said in an interview. “I have given him lots of gifts. He had only mentioned about the iPhone in the book. During my time in jail, if I wanted to escape, I could have entrapped him by telling the truth. We could both have written a great book. It could have been published with pictures,” she said.
“It is unclear why he wrote the book when everything was settling down. Further, he is speaking half-truth. Why is he not publicly revealing everything? He is just trying to regain his public image. There is no sincerity in it,” she continued.
