A distressing incident of child abuse unfolded at a Montessori school in South Bengaluru, as a CCTV footage capturing a minor boy physically assaulting a toddler girl went viral on social media. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, June 21, has sparked outrage and ignited a discussion about the responsibility of schools in ensuring the safety and well-being of their students.
According to reports, the incident took place at a school situated in Chikkalasandra. The CCTV footage shows a caretaker leaving the room, leaving the boy and girl alone. Subsequently, the boy is seen forcefully pushing the girl to the floor and subjecting her to a series of physical abuse, including hitting, kicking, biting, and slapping.
