The potential mishap occurred at Manjuri Road station under the Bhandaripokhari police limits. A boulder had become lodged in the middle of the interlock, posing a serious threat of derailing a train. The situation had the potential to result in a catastrophic accident, but due to the vigilance of a railway staffer, disaster was averted.
Upon noticing the boulder, the railway staffer promptly alerted the concerned officials, who acted swiftly to remove the obstruction. The timely intervention ensured the safe passage of trains through the station. The station manager has filed a complaint with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), which has initiated an investigation into the incident.
