Locals in Kerala’s Palakkad are panic finding stray dogs mutilated. Many dogs in the area were found mutilated with deadly weapons in recent days. It is suspected that extremists are using dogs for practising terrorist operations.
A number of dogs in the area had cuts on their hands and feet. Some dogs have had their paws and tails amputated. After noticing the incident, the locals lodged a complaint with the police. But the locals say that no action has been taken in this matter yet. Locals also express their suspicion that terrorist forces are behind this.
Dogs have been found with their limbs cut off in the past. Recently, a bullet was found in the body of an injured dog from Palakkad. Years ago, dogs’ heads were found tied in sacks under the Patambi bridge.
Kerala is infamous for cruelty towards animals. Various national and international organisations have previously come forward seeking stringent action against such incidents.
