The three accused arrested in the human sacrifice case in Elanthur will be produced in the court Wednesday. Muhammad Shafi (52) resident of Perumbavoor Vengola Vezhapilli, a black magician, Bhagawal Singh (68) resident of Pathanamthitta Elanthur Karamveli Kadampally and his second wife Laila were arrested in the case. They will be produced in the court in the afternoon.
Rosli (49) staying in a rented house in Kalady and Padma (52) of Dharmapuri, were murdered. Rosli was killed on the night of June 8 and Padma on September 26. The bodies were exhumed yesterday in the presence of the accused.
Padma’s body was hacked into 56 pieces were decomposed. Her son was not able to identify her body. Only her skeleton was found. Her body was hacked into five pieces. The body parts will be subjected for a post mortem at Kottayam Medical College. The bodies will be handed over to her relatives after completion of DNA tests.
Meantime, evidence will be collected from Bhagwal Singh’s house in Elanthur. The forensic team and the police will conduct an inspection. The police will investigate in detail whether more people are involved in the incident.
