Shocking reports have emerged about the filmmaker who is accused of raping a woman promising roles in movies. According to reports, the filmmaker was also accused in a number of cases including the controversial goat, teak and Mangium plantation scam. Martin Sebastian (57), a film producer, from Thrissur was finally arrested yesterday.
According to the complaint, a young woman was taken to various places and was sexually and physically assaulted several times by promising to give her a chance in the film and even marrying her.
The accused, who was in hiding for a month, appeared before the investigating officer after obtaining anticipatory bail from the High Court. The arrest was recorded yesterday after 2 days of questioning. The accused was brought to a luxury hotel in Ernakulam and evidence was collected.
Martin is also an accused in the Suryanelli case which was once a major controversy in Kerala. The accused influenced the young woman by tempting her to give her a chance in the cinema and sexually abused her. According to the complaint, he also convinced the victim that he lives away from his wife and wished to marry her. She was taken to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Wayanad and Ernakulam and was also beaten up.
There is also a complaint that Rs 78,60,000 and 80 Sovereigns of gold were stolen from the woman. Indus Scroll’s investigation revealed that Martin, using his power and financial resources influenced even the media to give favourable news about him which was published in major newspapers in Kerala.
