Kannada actor Suraj Kumar, widely known by his stage name Druvan, met with a severe accident near Begur, resulting in serious injuries. The 24-year-old actor was riding his bike at a high speed on the Mysore-Gundlupet highway when the unfortunate crash occurred. Reports indicate that his injuries were so grave that doctors were compelled to amputate his right leg.
The incident took place on Saturday evening as Druvan was en route to Ooty, enjoying the picturesque roads of Mysore. While attempting to overtake a tractor, his bike lost control and collided with a truck. Swift medical assistance was provided, and he was immediately transported to Manipal Hospital for treatment. However, due to the extent of his injuries, the medical team had to make the difficult decision to amputate his right leg. Druvan is the son of renowned Kannada producer S. Sreenivasan.
This unfortunate accident has occurred at a particularly inconvenient time for Druvan, as he had recently committed to a movie alongside Malayalam star Priya Prakashan Warriar. The pre-production works for the film were nearing completion when the accident transpired, putting the project on hold.
