The Kannur University Syndicate has accused Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan of ‘violating’ all boundaries of decency.
The remark against the University VC is outrageous and condemnable. The Syndicate in a press release criticized that the action by the Governor should not have been done by a person holding a constitutional position.
The Governor did not completely understand the university rules. The continuation of this is the personal abuse against the VC, and the syndicate stated that the governor should not behave with political prejudice.
There is also criticism that the governor’s responses are fueling controversies. The governor froze the rank list issued ahead of Priya Varghese’s appointment without understanding the rules.
The syndicate also criticized the Governor for declaring that he would appoint a special committee to investigate the recent appointments without a proper understanding the rules.
