In a dramatic turn of events, K Vidya, a former leader of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and accused of forging an experience certificate to secure employment, collapsed during police questioning at the Agali DySP office. Vidya was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
During the interrogation, Vidya was supposed to be questioned alongside a lady lecturer from Maharaja’s College when she suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed. Concerned authorities immediately summoned medical assistance and transported her to a hospital in Kotapuram. This unforeseen incident caused a temporary halt to the questioning process. It is worth noting that the court had recently remanded Vidya to police custody.
The allegations against Vidya revolve around her purportedly forged experience certificate, which falsely indicated that she had served as a teacher at Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam. She allegedly submitted this fraudulent document to Attappady Government College to secure a position as a guest lecturer. However, suspicions arose within the government college administration, leading them to inquire about Vidya’s claimed previous employment at Maharaja’s College.
This investigation unveiled the entire incident, resulting in a police case being registered against K Vidya on June 6. Shortly after the case was filed, Vidya went into hiding and remained absconding for over two weeks. Outraged by the perceived delay in arresting the accused, the public voiced their concerns, criticizing the police for their alleged sluggishness.
Finally, after intensified efforts and mounting pressure, the police located and apprehended Vidya from a friend’s residence in Kozhikode, ending her period of evasion.
