The much-anticipated trailer of the upcoming suspense thriller ‘Dhoomam’, featuring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, was unveiled by the makers on Thursday, leaving fans intrigued and eager for more.
Prithviraj Sukumaran took to Instagram to share the trailer with his followers, captioning it, “Few souls leave behind a trail (er) of Smoke and Mirrors. The intriguing #DhoomamTrailer out now!”
Written and Directed by Pawan Kumar, renowned for his acclaimed films like ‘Lucia’ and ‘U-Turn’, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, ‘Dhoomam’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Aparna Balamurali, Achyut Kumar, Roshan Mathew, Vineeth Radhakrishnan, Anu Mohan, Joy Mathew, and Nandhu.
The trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into the intense world of ‘Dhoomam’, where protagonists Avi (played by Fahadh Faasil) and Diya (played by Aparna Balamurali) find themselves caught in a race against time. Danger lurks at every corner, and their haunted past threatens their very existence. As the boundaries between heroes and villains blur, they must confront their deepest fears and make unimaginable sacrifices to regain a sense of safety.
The film’s music is composed by the talented Poornachandra Tejaswi, while celebrated cinematographer Preetha Jayaram, known for her stunning visuals in acclaimed films, has beautifully captured the essence of ‘Dhoomam’, creating a visually immersive world.

Originally filmed in Malayalam, ‘Dhoomam’ will be released across 300 plus screens in Kerala alone, ensuring a wide reach and catering to diverse audiences. The film is set to captivate audiences beyond Kerala as well, with its release in four languages – Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu.
