While the preparations for the CPM state meet continue, the Kerala High Court harshly criticised for tying festoons after encroaching the path. The court observed that this is a clear violation of the court order.
“Do you think a political party can do anything? Even the poor are fined for not wearing helmets. The government is turning a blind eye when the party violates the law,”. Justice Devan Ramachandran asked.
The court also asked whether the corporation had given permission for tying the festoons and if so asked to produce the details. At this point, the AG directly appeared.
He said the corporation had given permission to tie the festoons till March 5 and will be removed on the same day itself.
If so, the court ordered to produce corporation’s permission letter and asked to produce the reports after removing it.
Over 500 delegates will participate in the 23rd state conference of CPM. A total of 400 delegates were selected from the district conferences, 23 observers and 88 state committee members.
