In a shocking incident, a grandfather and grandson were killed in the Karnataka-Kerala border within 24 hours. The tiger bit and killed Chetan (12), a teenager who was playing with children in the backyard near the coffee plantations on Sunday evening. The tiger then dragged the leg of the boy and ran into the forest to hide.
Grandfather Raju (75) came out of the house knowing that his grandson was also killed by a tiger. Raju too was attacked by a tiger on the border of Nagarhole National Park near Kutta in Coorg district of Karnataka this morning. The incident happened near Hulikal camp near Nanachi Gate in Nagarhole range.
The foresters say that the same tiger killed both people. The people are scared in that area where plantation workers are crowded. The attacks of wild animals are increasing on the Kerala-Karnataka border.
