Kerala Police have registered a case against the owner for allegedly burning his pet dog alive. The case was registered against Purushothaman (47) in the Kolpuram area of Chelakkara Chakkappanpadi.
Neighbours had complained that Purushothaman’s pet had broken the chain and was coming out of the house. Preliminary information is that the dog bit Purushottam and after this, the dog was burnt alive using kerosene.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the dog buried near the house. Neighbours say Purushothaman burned the dog alive with kerosene and saw the dog running for his life. They also say the dog was brutally beaten.
