Wasting crores of rupees in various projects that turned into massive failures, Kerala is now planning to have its own OTT platforms.
Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cheriyan said that the state will launch a state-owned over-the-top (OTT) platform, ‘CSpace’, on November 1 offering film lovers an array of movies, short films and documentaries of their choice.
The launch of CSpace, which boasts of several unique features, the minister claimed. He also said that the government expects this to ‘help the growth of Malayalam cinema.
Interestingly, Kerala is to complete with giants like Amazon, zee, Hotstar who have the majority of subscribers.
