The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has countered Rahul Gandhi’s criticism regarding the inauguration of the new Parliament building. Rahul’s remarks, made on Saturday, suggested that President Draupadi Murmu should be the one to inaugurate the new Parliament building, rather than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP criticized Rahul’s stance, pointing out it as a negative omen for the country.
Gaurav Bhatia, the spokesperson for the BJP, expressed his disappointment with Rahul’s statement, calling him narrow-minded and unable to embrace the significance of the historic moment when the new Parliament House will serve as a temple of democracy.
Highlighting the irony of the situation, Bhatia pointed out that even Meira Kumar, a Congress leader and former Lok Sabha speaker, had expressed a desire for a new Parliament building. He further criticized the Congress party, referring to them as ineffectual. Bhatia suggested that the Congress seems to have a problem when Prime Minister Modi works towards fulfilling their own dreams.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to dedicate the new Parliament building to the nation on May 28. Despite the BJP’s criticism of Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, the focus remains on the upcoming inauguration, which is expected to be a significant moment in the country’s democratic history.
The new Parliament building, a symbol of progress and modernity, is seen as a reflection of India’s commitment to a strong and vibrant democracy. Its inauguration is eagerly anticipated by both the ruling BJP and the opposition parties, as it marks a milestone in the country’s parliamentary system.
In the days leading up to the inauguration, the focus will be on the preparations and arrangements for the event, as well as the participation of various political leaders. The significance of the new Parliament building goes beyond party lines, symbolizing the collective voice and aspirations of the Indian people.
