The preliminary autopsy report of the housewife who died while undergoing treatment at the medical college has been handed over to the investigation team. According to the preliminary report, the cause of death was internal organ damage due to side effects from the injected drug. The report brushes aside the allegation of the relatives that wrong drug was injected.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Veena George said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident. The director of the medical education department has been instructed to conduct an investigation. The samples have also been sent for chemical testing. The medical college police had earlier registered a case on the complaint of the relatives of the housewife.
Sindhu, a native of Chavalapara in Koodaranji, was admitted to the Medical College Hospital due to high fever. She was tested for dengue fever. After receiving the first dose of the injection, her health had improved. But after taking the second dose of the injection, her condition worsened and collapsed suddenly.
