In a highly controversial move, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party faced severe criticism during the inauguration of the new parliament building when it compared the architectural marvel to a coffin.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swiftly condemned the statement, asserting that if the coffin represents their vision, then the new parliament building symbolizes India’s future.
The comparison made by the RJD sparked a wave of outrage, with former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi demanding sedition charges against those responsible for the tweet.
Expressing his deep disappointment, Modi questioned whether the RJD had decided to permanently boycott the parliament, urging RJD MPs to consider resigning from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
