In a shocking incident, a one-year-old calf belonging to a housewife in Kovala Colony, Wayanad Poothadi, was brutally killed by unidentified assailants. The heinous act involved tying the innocent calf to a gourd and tightening the rope around its neck, ultimately leading to its tragic demise.
The incident unfolded when the cow, which was securely tied up in the stable, was discovered missing on a fateful morning. Frantic efforts were made to locate the animal, and to the horror of its owner, the lifeless body was found in a pumpkin garden approximately one kilometer away from the house.
The calf’s limbs and neck were mercilessly bound with ropes, causing severe distress and suffering. Adding to the horrific nature of the crime, a wooden stick was found inserted into the calf’s private parts, and it sustained injuries all over its body.
