Distinguished painter and printmaker Prof V Nagdas joined Lalit Kala Akademi as chairman on March 13, 2023. Prof Nagdas was welcomed by Shri Ramakrishna Vedala, Secretary incharge, Lalit Kala Akademi, Dr K Sreenivasarao, Secretary, Sahitya Akademi by presenting a plant and a shawl, as a mark of respect to him at Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi. All the staff members of Lalit Kala Akademi were also present to greet Prof Nagdas.
Prof Nagdas is a renowned printmaker and painter. An alumnus of Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan. He has vast experience in the field of printmaking, has extensively exhibited in India and abroad. Prof Nagdas was the Head of Graphic Department at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh.
