Prominent Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra has come forward with a serious allegation against a well-known Bollywood director, revealing that the director asked her to show him her underwear during a film shoot. The incident, which occurred in 2002 or 2003, left the actor feeling dehumanized and compelled her to leave the film project.
In an interview with an international media outlet, Priyanka Chopra detailed the disturbing encounter, describing it as a “dehumanizing moment” in her career. She disclosed that during the shoot, the director made inappropriate comments about her clothing and asked her to shoot the scene with her clothes slightly off, emphasizing that he wanted to see her underwear. The director did not address her directly but conveyed his request to a nearby stylist.
Recalling her feelings at that moment, Priyanka stated, “I felt inhuman. I felt like nothing. I realized that I was being used, that they needed my body and not my talent.” The incident deeply affected the actor, prompting her to make the difficult decision of withdrawing from the film after only two days of shooting.
Priyanka also expressed gratitude for the support she received from her father, Ashok Chopra, during this challenging time. She shared that her father promised to return the advance payment for the film, which provided her with a great sense of relief. “After that,” Priyanka revealed, “I never even wanted to look at that director’s face.”
