It was Ira’s Birthday and with just one photograph she managed to give ample opportunity for her fans and critics to celebrate her birthday too. The reason why she is on spotlight is for her birthday celebration wearing bikini. More interesting was that it was in front of her father who have always complained about the ‘insecurity’ he feels when living in India!
Her birthday pictures were published in social media pages where Ira was seen with her father, Amir Khan, mother Reena Dutta, ex-stepmother Kiran Rao, her brother Azad and a few close ones. A few noticed something edited and erased from the picture and expressed their doubt if it was a wine glass! Anyways, if it was erased, it must be something that would spark controversy, yeah?
Neverthless, a number of people reminded Amir Khan’s old statements like “My wife is feeling insecure in this country because of the rising intolerance.” People reminded him that he is living in a country where being a Muslim his daughter is allowed to wear such clothes and flaunt them publicly. People called her “Badtamiz, Besharam Belihaz” etc. because she is wearing a bikini in front of her father.
Anyways, a few people have come forward to save her from attack including Singer Sona Mohapatra who supported Ira by saying ‘She is 25, A free-thinking adult woman. She doesn’t need the approval of her father or yours, for her choices.” Here are a few interesting tweets:
