Since its release date ( April 7th,2023) late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s latest Song ‘Mera Na’ is trending no. 1 on YouTube. With more than 31 million views on YouTube until now the song has made a buzz across circles. But apart from the music what is most liked by the audience is the VFX done in the song. So we tried to contact the co-founder and VFX director of the song Mr. Akhil Kumar Yadav popularly known as InsideAKY in the music industry. Mr. Akhil Kumar Yadav said that ” In this music video we have used an Artificial Intelligence technique called “Deepfake” to create the visuals of Sidhu moosewala. This is the first time the “Deepfake” technique has been used in any major music video to date.
InsideAKY and Himanshu Dhar (the co-VFX Director of the Song) also added that “We are honored to have had the opportunity to work on this project and pay tribute to the amazing Sidhu Moose Wala. A revolutionary artist needs revolutionary visuals.” They added by saying “It was a challenging project that pushed us to use new techniques and technologies, but the end result is something truly special that we’re proud of.
Creating deepfake was a very challenging task as it is a pretty new technique and needed a lot of research, trials and errors to achieve the results but our commitment towards the project and a sincere responsibility towards our brother Sidhu Moose Wala made it possible.” said Insight Keti (Deepika), the artist responsible for the deepfake.
