In a significant development, a Village Assistant employed by the Kerala government, Suresh Kumar, is set to be dismissed from his position following his arrest in a bribery case. The recommendation for his dismissal was accepted by the Revenue Minister, based on an enquiry report submitted by Joint Secretary K Biju.
Suresh Kumar, who held the position of Village Assistant in Palakkayam, located in Palakkad district, was apprehended red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 in exchange for providing a location certificate for a property.
