Kerala Governor Arif Muhammed Khan has said that Veer Savarkar was a
powerful freedom fighter and had inspired several revolutionaries. Sri
Khan was delivering a speech after releasing “Veer Savarkar – The Man
Who Could Have Prevented Partition”, the book authored by Uday
Madhurkar, the Central RTI Commissioner, at Kochi on November 28,
2021.
Veer Savarkar fought for all sections of people cutting across
caste and religious lines. He conceived and propagated the idea that
both Muslims and Hindus should join hands in their social and
political activities. Savarkarji did not scheme for power and pelf.
He underwent inhuman and brutal torture for fighting the Britons for
the country’s freedom. The Governor opined that Madhurkar’s book is a
befitting answer to those who keep on spreading lies and scandals
against Veer Savarkar.
The book was published by Kurukshethra Prakashan, the publication wing
of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Kerala. Uday Madhurkar, “Rashtra
Gatha” Chairman Bharat Bhooshan, Kochi Shipyard CMD Madhu S. Nair and
C. K. Radhakrishnan, KaBa Surendran and Vivekananda Pai, Chairman,
Chief Editor and General Manager respectively of Kurukshethra
Prakshan, spoke on the occasion.
