On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed an agreement with the Indian Yoga Institute to bring about professional standards for yoga professionals and trainers.
The memorandum of understanding was signed between Dr Awsaf Saeed, the Indian Ambassador, and Abdullah bin Faisal Hammad, the Director General of the Institute for Preparation of Leaders. Head of the Saudi Yoga Committee Nouf Al-Marouei was also present.
The aim of the pact is to train and develop professional standards for yoga professionals and trainers.
Recently, Saudi Arabia has included yoga in the school curriculum.
