A video of a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar, Enayetullah Abbasi, has surfaced on the internet, sparking concerns of growing religious extremism in the country. In the video, Abbasi can be seen making threatening remarks, stating that Bangladesh is only for Muslims and that every Madrasa in the country will turn into a cantonment with weapons if anyone comes to invade even an inch of the country.
The video has caused a stir among the people, with many expressing their concerns about the rise of religious extremism in the country. Abbasi, who has a history of making controversial statements, can be heard saying that the majority of those who died in the 1971 war were Hindus, and that these extremist Muslims were supporters of Pakistan. He also claimed that there is not a single Hindu on the Razakar’s list, and that all are Muslims.

“The Islamists in this country will gouge their eyes out. If anyone comes to invade even an inch of Bangladesh. Every Madrasa in Bangladesh will turn into cantonment with weapons. Every Muslim will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Bangladesh Army for Jihad. Bangladeshi Muslims have the power to fly the flag of Islam in Delhi too, and the future will show that. The enemies of Islam are the Kaferr [unbelievers], beware.”,” he says in another video.
The video has been widely circulated on social media, with many calling for the authorities to take action against Abbasi. The government has not yet made any official statement on the matter.
Religious extremism has been a growing concern in Bangladesh in recent years. In 2016, a group of militants affiliated with ISIS carried out a deadly attack on a cafe in Dhaka, killing 22 people, most of whom were foreigners. The attack was a wake-up call for the government and the people of Bangladesh, who have been working together to combat religious extremism in the country.
