The Uttar Pradesh Police have booked two Muslim youths who allegedly offered namaz at a Hindu temple in Mathura on October 30. The men identified as – Faizal Khan and Mohammad Chand – have been booked under Sections 153-A, 295, and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused who allegedly have links with Islamist outfit Popular Front of India offered namaz despite objections from Hindus.
The accused visited Nand Baba Mandir in Mathura where the two accused offered namaaz without any permission from the temple authorities. Two others apart from the accused have also been named in the FIR, as they were involved in clicking pictures and circulating it on social media.
According to reports, priests performed havan to purify the temple. The incident has triggered a massive controversy with the police saying that strong action will be taken against the accused.
Meanwhile, similar stunts were staged in Kerala by Popular Front activists to cover up their nefarious activities and designs. Every time after staging such actions, they give it wide publicity also. Some time ago, when a nun had died of covid in Kerala, even before Christian priests and her colleagues came, local Popular Front activists came wearing T-shirts bearing name of their organization. They shot photographs and videos where the name of the organization was made conspicuous. All these photographs were made viral in social media. Several priests and Christian organizations have come out against “unsolicited” service rendered by Popular Front activists. It must be mentioned here that it was Popular Front activists that cut the hand of Christian professor in a Taliban-modal attack.
Similarly, they undertook cleaning work in a Kollam temple much to chagrin of Hindus. Given the fanatic nature of Popular Front and SDPI activists, no Hindu would like to associate them in temple affairs.
