The womb of love bore the seed of its progeny
Years pass and generations progress
An amalgamation so extraordinary
Of a couple’s feelings with appearance to get
A character mould which they name with love
The evidence that life moves on
She nourishes it with her blood
The foetus feeling her every breath
Her tears her tales her love her fears
A rebirth this mother has when she gets
This neonate her flesh and blood
A suture this cord unveils
Yet an attachment of a lifetime
From a girl to lady she’s now a mother
Her creation she so ecstatically holds
Swearing to protect till her last breath
Emotionally and physically this warrior’s pledge
This bud so endearing starts to grow
Each step each moment she wants to collect
Pictures videos those heavy drives
Nothing she wants to miss
How she loves it when remarked
That this princess looks like mummy
Her blue skies wear this optimistic sunshine
A teardrop catching up in line
Nuances of varied phases
Pick her even make her fall
But mommy dear always cushions
As she is her daughter’s favorite fan
But fights aplenty they see too
After all they both are alike
Clothes friends even fashion trends chaotic
They live agree disagree then fight
She wanders with her friends a carefree walk
Whilst this crazy storm worries the night throughout
That warm elixir binds them on
At times blood if not tears keeps them bonded
Contradicting each other they replicate in thoughts even actions
Building the same bridges then burning the creaky ones
They did not know that time races like their hearts
She’s infatuated to the conjugal cry
Her baby who was her life now is ready to give marriage a try
Finding the suitable an epic task
As their princess deserves the best clasp
Hazed worried their forehead lines
A burden so heavy to give what’s yours
To a stranger who could or could not be
The best man for their little girl’s dreams
You thought it would stop here
But this tryst till the end
Engulfing laughter cries new bends
Any moment one would fret
The other’s presence would sort the threat
Comparisons contradictions all withstood
This word ‘mother’ an irreplaceable truth
You learn the lesson when you become one
That this angel was sent by God
to brighten your every dawn
