More than 2,500 civilians of the Black Sea port city of Mariupol have been killed since the Russian invasion in Ukraine. Numerous people were killed in the shelling attack on a church in the area, the previous day.
The Ukrainian cities are falling one by one as Russia intensified its attacks. Fire broke out in Kyiv’s Antonov aircraft plant following Russian shelling. The Chernihiv Polytechnic University in Ukraine has collapsed. Russian troops have captured the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk.
Last day, Ukraine claimed that at least 35 people were killed and 134 others injured, in the Russian airstrikes on the military base in Lviv. The Yavoriv military base, which suffered the attacks, is located near to the Poland border in western Ukraine. Reports suggest that around 30 Russian cruise missiles have landed in the base resulting in the death of civilians. Meantime, the number of people who are fleeing Ukraine has reached close to 27 lakhs. So far, 2,698,280 people have escaped from Ukraine.
