India has summoned a senior diplomat at Pakistan’s High Commission in India to protest the recent attacks on members of the Sikh community in Pakistan. India also demanded a sincere investigation into the case. India has strongly protested against the happenings against the Sikh community in Pakistan. India is living in constant fear of religious persecution and demanded that Pakistan ensure the security of minorities.
A series of four attacks on the Sikh community took place between April and June 2023 alone. This is followed by action. Pakistan’s leading media reported that a member of the Sikh community was shot dead after unknown gunmen opened fire. Manmohan Singh was killed by unidentified gunmen in Kakshal area of Pakistan. The police informed that unknown assailants fired at him while he was going home in the evening.
India has said that killings against the Sikh community in Pakistan are on the rise, the failure of the Pakistani government to protect minorities is encouraging criminals to operate with impunity, and the minority communities, especially the Sikhs, are insecure in Pakistan. India also demanded that action should be taken as soon as possible.
