Bid to blame the RSS-BJP activists for a recent attack on a Malappuram temple shows the ‘Communist bastardism’, writes TP Senkumar, former DGP of Kerala, in a recent Facebook post.
According to Senkumar, notwithstanding the police statement that the accused Ramakrishnan doesn’t have any political affiliation, the Communists (read Marxists) went to town blaming RSS-BJP activists for the unholy act. Valancherry Circle Inspector had told presspersons that the person carried out the attack under the influence of alcohol and had ruled out any political motive behind the incident. Before the arrest of the accused, the police had questioned three persons, among whom one was Rajan, the brother of a leader BJP. The police had let them off after finding that the trio had no role in the attack.
In the meanwhile, “some Islamist outfits and Imran (Khan) putras” launch a misinformation campaign. “They fabricate a story that the accused Ramakrishnan is the brother of the former BJP candidate Ayyappanunni. Now, the hardcore Islamists who desperately want a communal tension in the area are behind the misinformation campaign,” wrote Senkumar. The Marxists, after initiating a controversy, left the scene after local Muslims and police called their bluff.
It is suspected that one of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s advisors was behind this mischief of linking RSS-BJP with the controversy.
Giving credence to Red-Jihadi misinformation campaign, controversial TV personality Rahul Easwar tweeted that “an ultra-right winger”. Many suspect Easwar has links with some extremist Islamic outfits and had “betrayed the Hindu community during Akhila-Hadia Love Jihad trial”. Akhila’s father had alleged that Easwar had taken money from the rival party and ditched him. Easwar’s tweet was retweeted by journalist Saba Naqvi.
