The Ranni Grama Nyayalaya court rejected bail plea of senior BJP leader K. Surendran in a case related to protest at Sabarimala during Chithira Atta visesham, while he was granted bail in another case of 2012. The Kerala government had foisted several fake cases against the BJP leader.
His prayer for transfer to Tiruvananthapuram central jail will be looked into later on the basis of the jail superintendent’s report. He can speak to his family members in the jail superintendent’s presence back in jail.
This morning BJP leaders and workers observed Namajapa Yajnam in front of Kottarakkara Sub Jail where BJP leader K Surendran is imprisoned. Shobha Surendran and PK Krishnadas led the Yajna. Several women workers participated in the event.
BJP president PS Sreedharan Pillai visited Surendran this morning, November 24. He told the media that the Pinarayi regime is resorting to political vendetta against Surendran as he is the most dynamic leader in the younger generation. He has unearthed the illegal dealings of several CPI(M) leaders and their family members; obviously, they hate him. But, the whole Sangh Parivar and BJP stand by him through thick and thin. It is ridiculous that the government has foisted false and fake cases against Surendran for defeating his bail application. Such cases are funny. Can a case be filed against a stranger when someone else commits suicide? Another one is against a drunkard in Tiruvananthapuram district. And, one is against a drunkard auto driver.
Widespread protests are taking place in the state against the illegal incarceration of the BJP leader.
