Although actor Salman Khan tweeted a fervent appeal to all his fans to support Sushant Singh Rajput’s family and friends, the deceased actor’s fans are in no mood to ‘pardon’ the super star. Salman’s Twitter account is flooded with responses of angry Sushant fans who wanted Khan to be arrested for their favourite star’s death. Sushant had died by suicide last Sunday.
Salman tweeted: “A request to all my fans to stand with Sushant’s fans n not to go by the language n the curses used but to go with the emotion behind it. Pls support n stand by his family n fans as the loss of a loved one is extremely painful.”
Many Bollywood personalities like Kangana Ranaut and Anubhav Kashyap have also come out against Khans after the death of Sushant. They alleged that there is campism in Bollywood and these cliques destroy the career of new comers. Already #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput, #BoycottSalmanKhan, #BoycottStarKids and #BoycottBollywood have been trending on social media since Sushant’s death. The fans of the Dabangg star had trended #WeStandWithSalmanKhan in his defence.
Meanwhile, investigations have been underway in the Sushant death case. The police have recorded the statements of Rhea Chakraborty, the former girlfriend of Sushant. She was asked to share the messages sent by Sushant to her. It is reported by Indus Scrolls that Sushant had called her last before the death.
Besides Rhea, the police have said that as per protocol they have recorded the statements of 13 persons and an inquiry is ongoing. An official added that the department has spoken to Rajput’s father, his two sisters, his friend and creative manager Siddharth Pithani, manager Sandeep Sawant, friend and actor Mahesh Shetty, casting director Mukesh Chabbra, business manager Shruti Modi, public relations manager Ankita Tehlani, a key maker and two house staff.
Although a case has been filed against five persons including Salman Khan and Karan Johar, none of the family members or friends has levelled any allegation against anyone.
