The Kerala Police on Saturday arrested about 100 devotees for chanting prayers in the Sabarimala temple. Those arrested included children.
Police personnel outnumbered devotees in the temple, as huge restrictions are a major put off for them. Usually by this time, about a crore devotees would have visited Sabarimala but this time the turnout was less then 5 lakhs.
The Kerala High Court has also sought details of the turnout. The Tranvancore Devaswom Board also is worried about the low turnout.
