Lashing at Pak attempts to interfere in maintaining peace in Kashmir, India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval today said that India will do anything to protect Kashmiris from Pakistani terrorists.
Pakistan sponsored terrorists are making all efforts to prevent the restoration of normalcy in Jammu &Kashmir, however, India is committed to prevent all such attempts, he said.
In a scathing attack on Pak sponsored terrorism, he said, efforts made by Pakistan to create turmoil in Jammu & Kashmir reflect its desperation.
They have been thoroughly exposed and lost face in front of those whom they sold false dreams.
Interacting with media, Doval said, the safety of people is the most importantpriority of the Government. However, reasonable restrictions are necessary forpeace and protection of life as the right to life is the most important humanright.
Talking about the measures taken for the restoration of normalcy in Jammu &Kashmir, Doval said, restrictions have been eased progressively.
Today, only ten out of the 199 police districts in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh still have prohibitory orders. Landline telephones and mobile services have been restored fully in Jammu & Ladakh region.
Essential supplies have been ensured. More than 4 lakh patients have visited hospitals OPD and eleven thousand surgeries have been done since August 5. He added that more than 92 per cent of the geographical area of Jammu &Kashmir is now without restrictions.
He reiterated that amendment in the constitution is an internal matter of India and majority of Kashmiris support the abrogation of Article 370, which was a special discrimination, not a special status. NSA added that Article 370 was amended in the past also and it was not a part of any bilateral and multilateral agreement.
In fact, the abrogation of Article 370 brought all the Kashmiris on par withIndians.
