Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s final comprehensive autopsy report is out. The doctors handed over the report to Mumbai police on June 24 who is conducting a probe into the factors which led to his suicide.
Reports quoting post-mortem report said, “There were no struggle marks or external injuries” on the actor’s body. The cause of death is mentioned as asphyxia due to hanging. According to an India Today report the actor’s nails were also found clean. The report cites the actor’s death as a “clear case of suicide with no other foul play”.
Meanwhile, his fans are not ready to accept this and want a CBI probe into the death. A hashtag #CBIEnquiryForSushant has been trending for a while now.
Sushant was found hanging in his Mumbai residence on June 14. His body was sent to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for postmortem the same day.
Investigators have recorded the statements of people associated with the deceased actor. His former girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was also interrogated for about nine hours. The top production house Yash Raj Films has been asked to submit contracts signed between the actor and the production house. Director Mukesh Chhabra, who was helming Sushant’s upcoming film “Dil Bechara”, was also questioned. Even as Mumbai Police investigates Sushant’s death, Bollywood actor Shekhar Suman has created a forum called #justiceforSushantforum demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death.
Meanwhile, fans of Sushant mounted an attack on Salman Khan, Karan Johar and others, holding them responsible for the actor’s death. Salman Khan’s messages asking his fans to reach out to Sushant family have not clamed the fans.
